Our Team

Matthew Steffen brings over 25 years of broad based finance experience to the Partnership. Mr. Steffen joined Invision Capital in 2014 and is responsible for performing extensive due diligence in connection with strategic acquisitions, organizational integrations, divestures and efficiency initiatives. In addition, Mr. Steffen establishes effective financial reporting and budgeting systems, creates strong internal control environments and implements performance measurements that ensure high levels of performance for the fund.  Prior to joining Invision Capital, Mr. Steffen was a Senior Manager for Ernst & Young LLP. In his role, he was responsible for providing financial advisory services to a variety of companies typically in a transactional environment such as a restructuring, refinancing, acquisition or disposition. Prior to Ernst & Young, Mr. Steffen was a Vice President at Heller Financial and GE Capital, during which time he was responsible for asset based and cash flow loan underwritings, portfolio management, analyzing industry trends and preparing financial models to determine cash flow needs and collateral positions. Mr. Castillo and Mr. Steffen’s business relationship began 23 years ago at KPMG Peat Marwick.

Mr. Steffen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Illinois State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
